Hello, I’m Nikole Potulsky–mortgage broker, community organizer, musician, and parent. I became a broker to help people in my community put down roots, build up neighborhoods, and create long term financial security for themselves and their families.
Most people have to obtain financing to purchase their home and figuring out where to start can be overwhelming. My job is to guide you through the process, provide the most up to date information, and support you in making clear and informed decisions.
As an independent mortgage broker, I don’t work for a big bank– or any lender for that matter, I work directly for you. With access to dozens of lenders, I have the flexibility to shop for multiple mortgage products and tailor them to suit your specific needs. I’ll work closely with your real estate team so we can collaborate and move swiftly to put housekeys in your hands.
As much as I love finance, spreadsheets, and solving complicated puzzles, I am also a professional musician. I released my first album in 2017 and am working on the next one right now. When I am not on stage myself, I am shuttling my two kids to music lessons, beaming from the front row, and letting my not-so-secret plan for a family band unfold. I mean, I can see the matching outfits right down to the last rhinestone.
We live in Montavilla, a neighborhood of NE Portland, and spend lots of time seeking out the best swimming holes in the summer, hot springs in the winter, and visiting small towns throughout the Pacific Northwest year round.
Prior to entering the mortgage industry, I worked on local, state, and national issue campaigns that changed the public discourse on LGBTQ equity, healthcare access for the uninsured, income inequality, and food security. Through organizations like the Oregon Safe Schools and Communities Coalition, The Equity Foundation, The Pride Foundation, the Komen Foundation, The Equi Institute, and the Oregon Community Food Systems Network, I have volunteered or worked in every single county of Oregon.
