What I do:
I help people buy and refinance homes in Oregon and Washington by serving as the mortgage broker to facilitate your mortgage loan. I take your mortgage application, help you during the pre-approval process, and provide comprehensive first (and even second or third!) time home buyer education so that you have confidence in the financial side of your home purchase. Consultations are free and without obligation.
I then work in partnership with your real estate agent to help win your homebuying offer and interface with the lender to get your loan closed successfully – offering exemplary customer service with our local Two Rivers Mortgage team. This allows you to focus on what matters most – your move and your new home. I love using my skills to help you reach a positive life goal! And if you are looking to find a great realtor who will meet your
needs, I can also help you.
I enjoy contributing to our communities by teaching continuing education classes to realtors on LGBTQ, racial justice, and lending issues. I also enjoy working on diversity initiatives with Oregon State Bar attorneys. I love working with my clients and I love what I do!
Who I am:
As a young adult, I made a life-changing move to San Francisco during the height of the LGBT civil rights movement and was a key volunteer on many initiatives. I also managed a well-known dessert café while completing a bachelor’s degree in art and social justice. After moving to Portland, I earned a law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School and clerked for a respected judge.
In my personal life, I live on the Columbia River in a floating home, kayak, watch boats and view wildlife. I practice yoga and I love to attend jazz and contemporary dance events.
I got into this work because I experienced the Bay Area housing crisis firsthand and it inspired my move to Portland to buy my first home. I understand the importance of stability and comfort that owning a home brings individuals and their families.
